Data privacy statement under section 13 of the German Teleservices Act
Data privacy statement under section 13 of the German Teleservices ActThe AKG Group of Companies places a high priority on data protection and security. And this is the reason why in processing the data collected from our website visitors we invariably take the applicable data privacy regulations, and above all those contained in the German Teleservices and Federal Data Protection Acts, into account.
The present data privacy statement outlines which information we record during your visit to our website and how this information is used. This statement, however, does not apply to other enterprises’ websites that either contain a link to our website or which our website links to.
1. Gathering and Processing of Personal Data
When you visit our websites, our web servers by default will temporarily store access details, i.e. the IP address pertaining to this particular link and the websites you are actually visiting as well as the date and hour of your visit. Apart from this, personal data will only be stored with your prior express consent to their storage, use and processing (by way of example, such consent may be given on the online application portal by agreeing to the Terms of Use and the Data Privacy Statement).
2. Data Security
We use appropriate means to protect the data you have made available from fortuitous or intentional manipulation, destruction or unauthorized access. We will transmit your data in encoded form to prevent third parties from abusing them.
3. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses tools referred to as „cookies“ which are text files stored on your computer to help analyze how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (which also includes your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide further services relating to the use of both the website and the Internet.
Google also will transmit this information to third parties if so required by law or if that third party processes the data in question on behalf of Google. On no account Google will associate your IP address with any other data held by it. By selecting the appropriate settings on your browser you may prevent cookies from being installed. However, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website you agree that Google will process your collected data in the manner and for the purpose explained above. With effect for the future, you can opt out at any time of your data being gathered and stored. In our masthead you will find the contact address for opting out. Alternatively, you may use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de), provided that it is available for your web browser.
Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the add-on „_anonymizeIp()“, for which reason only condensed versions of IP addresses are processed to exclude the possibility of relating such addresses to any real individuals.
4. Use of Data
The data mentioned in paragraph 3 will only be used for the purposes set out there. Data will be transferred to third parties solely in compliance with mandatory statutory provisions or in those cases where this is required to prosecute or take any other legal action against cyber attacks on our network infrastructure. No data will be transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Rights
You are entitled to be informed about your personal data that have been stored, to have incorrect data corrected and to disable or delete any of your data.
If you wish to be informed about your personal data or want to correct or delete them or if you have any further questions about how the data you have made available to us are used, do not hesitate to contact us either by email or by sending your letter to the mailing address given below. In case you wish to contact us by email, please bear in mind that the confidentiality of the information you transmit is not warranted here. As matters stand, there is a strong possibility that the contents of not encoded emails are viewed by third persons. This is the reason why we should like to expressly recommend you to let us have your confidential information by mail.
